The session will commence with introductory remarks from the Co-Chairs, following which an open dialogue on the proposed topics will engage the meeting participants. We encourage your candid perspectives and active engagement in the discussion, as our objective is to initiate a dialogue that paves the way for the necessary changes in VBHC reimbursement.

Theme: “The Critical Role of Payment Models to Promote High Value Care”

While the meeting retains its informal structure, our goal is to discuss concrete actions our respective organizations can pursue for change. We would appreciate your considering the questions below prior to your attendance, in order to stimulate our discussion:

• Outcomes-based contracting is still very much the exception – what is holding us back and what can we effectively do to promote more systematic outcomes based contracting and payment models?
• Where are the biggest opportunities to advance value-based payment aligned with outcomes focus? (e.g. specific disease areas? Regions, settings?)
• Personalized medicine is something many talk about today. How would value-based payments support more personalized care, that is, care adapted to individual needs?
