  • Robotics:Beaumont Hospital leads in surgical robotics in Ireland, with five robots, including the Da Vinci SP — one of the world’s most advanced single-port surgical robots.Resource permitting and based on service needs, delegates will have the opportunity to use the VR simulator for da Vinci surgical training.
  • Surgical Innovation:Guided tour of Beaumont Hospital’s operating theatres, including the state-of-the-art hybrid operating theatre, one of the most advanced in Europe, featuring:
    • Masimo critical care anaesthetic data aggregation system (first in Europe)
    • AI-driven theatre management system
    • Integrated multifunctional theatre design & automated anaesthetics information system
    • Intravascular ultrasound & intraoperative teleconferencing
    • Advanced robotic imaging & intraoperative CT registration for surgical navigation
    • Smart AV systems, green LED lighting, brain function monitoring, and sustainable fluid removal systemResource permitting, delegates may also trial Brainlab Mixed VR 3D headsets, used by neurosurgeons for surgical case planning.

Delegates will be divided into small groups (8–10 people) and rotate through key clinical and innovation areas:

    Empowering stroke patients through self-care education and support post-discharge

  • Rapid Access / Prosper Programme
    Fast-track assessment for suspected prostate cancer and a holistic support programme for patients pre- and post-prostatectomy

  • NHILU – National High-Level Isolation Unit
    A national facility for the management of high-risk infectious diseases

  • Emergency Department Highlights:

    • Care to Wait: Real-time, transparent information to enhance the waiting experience

    • Peer Connect to Redirect: An innovative CNS-led service supporting people experiencing homelessness and addiction

    • Trauma Bay: Design-led improvements to optimise team coordination and patient flow in major trauma care

  • Visit to the Mater Transformation Hub, showcasing ongoing and completed quality improvement and innovation projects
