Why Apply?
In 2024, our inaugural Patient Scholarship Fund raised $40,000 and supported 32 patients to attend the conference in Amsterdam. Thanks to this support, patient representation more than doubled — from 2 % to 5 % of total delegates.
This year we aim even higher. With your voice in the room, we are working toward increasing patient participation further and making the patient perspective an even stronger driver of outcomes-centred change.
Who Should Apply
We welcome applications from individuals who:
- Have lived experience as a patient or carer
- Represent patient advocacy organizations
- Are affiliated with patient-focused entities, especially from low- and middle-income countries
- Are committed to outcomes measurement, improvement, and patient-centred care practices
Applicants typically demonstrate involvement with clinical partners, research, advocacy, or community engagement in meaningful ways.
Please note: this programme is not open to employees of pharmaceutical or medical device companies.
What Support May Be Available
Scholarship support may include:
- Complimentary or discounted conference registration
- Travel assistance based on financial need and geographic location
All support is provided in USD and is intended to make attendance feasible for patient voices who might otherwise face financial barriers
