Yannik co-founded Heartbeat Medical in 2014 with the vision to make patient-centered outcomes the central quality measure in healthcare. A physicist by background he has worked as a health-tech entrepreneur for over 15 years in Germany and the UK.

Heartbeat Medical is one of the leading providers in Europe for the digital collection of health outcomes and deeply embedded in routine care in Germany and Switzerland. Acting as the driver of value-based healthcare in Germany, the company provides both technical infrastructure and organizational know-how to establish the standardized collection of clinical and patient-reported information. These efforts led to the successful implementation of patient-centered outcomes in over 350.000 treatments across a wide variety of medical areas. In 2022 Heartbeat Medical pioneered a multi-insurance value-based reimbursement scheme, connecting providers with leading statutory health insurances to provide quality-based incentives in the area of endoprosthetics.
