Peter Vasko is a clinical cardiologist from Sweden. Besides clinical care, he is focused on improving health care by collecting and analyzing data from quality registries.
He is chairman of Swedeheart – the Swedish Web-system for the Enhancement and Development of Evidence-based care in Heart disease Evaluated According to Recommended Therapies – and SwedeHF – Swedish National Registry for Heart Failure. Dr Vasko is also a National Leader in Euroheart – European Unified Registries On Heart Care Evaluation and Randomized Trials.
He has been a member, since 2008, of the priority group Swedish guidelines for heart diseases, National Board of Health and Welfare. Dr Vasko has been part of 30 clinical studies from 2004 to 2018.
Dr Vasko is awarded a University Medical degree from University of Uppsala and works today at the University Hospital of Linköping, Sweden.
