Gotzone Sagardui

She holds a degree in Medicine from the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. Moreover, she holds an international Master’s degree in University Management and another Master’s degree that trains her as higher technician in Occupational Risk Prevention. In addition, Gotzone Sagardui has been member of the Basque Parliament and Deputy Mayor of Bilbao City Council.

Her task is to lead the department that has the largest budget allocation in the Basque Government (the commitment to health and the fight against COVID raise the Department of Health’s budget for 2021 to 4,183 million euros, 6% more than the previous year) and keep maintaining a public, high-quality and universal health system in the Basque Country.
