Dr Scott Tromanhauser MD, MBA, MHCDS

Dr. Scott Tromanhauser is a board-certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon. He is the Chief Specialty Care Officer at ChenMed where he leads a team tasked with optimizing specialty care delivery for ChenMed’s patients. ChenMed is leading the way in providing value-based primary care to traditionally underserved Medicare Advantage patients in more than 25 markets in 15 states and growing.
Prior to that he was the Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Spine Surgery, Director of Research Administration and a member of the Board of Trustees of The New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, a world-class provider of orthopedic surgery and the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases and disorders.
After receiving his undergraduate degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, he earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Albany Medical Center Hospital and spine surgery fellowship at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. In the middle of his career, he decided to complete his Masters in Business
Administration from Northeastern University and more recently a Masters in Health Care Delivery Science at Dartmouth.
Dr. Tromanhauser has been involved in clinical research throughout his career, presenting his work regionally, nationally and internationally. He has helped trained over 60 spine surgery fellows, countless orthopaedic residents and medical students. He co- founded a venture backed medical device company and has 10 patents to his name.
