Who should participate?
Health Procurement specialists, life-science professionals, clinicians, health system managers, patients and service-users
Summary
For healthcare systems to implement the principles of Value-Based Healthcare it is not sufficient to focus only on episodic care or even long-term healthcare provision: all elements of the system must be aligned. The procurement of medicines, medical devices, technology and services must also reflect what matters most to patients.
This is a new paradigm that requires new ways of working between life-science industries and healthcare systems, which includes outcomes-based agreements and longer-term partnerships that create the best value.
In this workshop we will hear from experts from the different sectors and delegates will work together in groups using a real-world scenario to explore how to develop partnerships that create the best value from all different stages of the care pathway. The scenario will be shared as a pre-read with registered delegates who are encouraged to share their experiences and perspectives in the workshop. Places will be limited.
