Building a Community of Practice in LMICs
We have two months left to achieve the ambitious 90-90-90 goals, set by the global HIV community. The goals were, by 2020, that 90% of all people living with HIV will know their HIV status; 90% of all people with diagnosed HIV infection will receive sustained antiretroviral therapy; 90% of all people receiving antiretroviral therapy will have viral suppression.
As we move toward the next era of HIV goals, providers have proposed a fourth goal, around quality of life. While this fourth goal represents an aim in itself, it also has the potential to increase patient engagement with HIV care and, as a result, improve performance on the other three goals.
This session will bring together HIV experts from low, middle, and high income countries to share their experiences with measuring and improving quality of life for people living with HIV. The session will be conducted in an interactive workshop format, facilitated by Leapfrog to Value, a global initiative focused on the shift toward value-based care in low-
and middle-income countries.
