Focusing on patient-centricity can create a cheaper and more efficient way of collecting outcomes and continued production of real-world evidence. The rapid development of technology can of course make data collection easier however if we really want to materialise what this transformation can lead to we need to think differently and put the patient in the centre to truly deliver value-based and patient-centred care resulting in better outcomes.
Clinicians need to leverage patients’ interests by giving them accountability and responsibility for reporting their data thus making patients a true partner in this journey.
